As one door closes ...

Retiring from parish ministry is quite a change and I'm missing the wealth of friendships and contact that go along with the territory. But  I'm also enjoying many of the freedoms that having no specific employment can bring. How I will use those new freedoms is important and I'm prayerfully   trusting that God will open new doors for me to walk through. Meanwhile our new address is 12 Carwood Hey, Ramsbottom, (822312), which is a four bedroomed house we are renting while now having the time to look round for a suitable home.

Our farewell service was much appreciated and Val and I want to thank you for the cards and gifts we received as tokens of your kindness and generosity.

Congratulations to Audrey on her recent ordination, I'm sure she will complement the ministry of the team in the coming years and it may well be as you read this, that Anthony and his family are in your midst. Please be consistent in your prayers for the "Ministry Team", and remember also the words of a Bob Dylan song; "The times they are a changing".

This will be true in many different ways for all of you; don't try to resist the process, but look for God's best in the midst of it.
