Who we are

Our church family is very mixed in age with many members being children and young people - they are about one third of our Sunday congregation.

Many members are relatively new to St Andrew's and to the Ramsbottom area, others have worshipped here for most of their lives.

Quite a number of us have become Christians during the last few years. Our church community also includes some who have worshipped in other denominations in other places and have chosen to join our church community on moving to Ramsbottom.

We believe that being a Christian is not just about going to church. As such we have recently begun to make the transition to becoming a Cell Church. At St Andrew's we are therefore seeking to develop five key values:

+ All involved.
+ Becoming disciples.
+ Creating community.
+ Doing evangelism.
+ Encountering God
.

Currently there are four Cell groups meeting weekly and following teaching based on the five key values above; aiming to apply God's word so that each member may grow in faith and live out that faith in their daily lives. By sharing Gods love with our neighbors, friends and family we hope that people will want to join us on our journey of faith. In this way each church cell will grow just like a biological cell.
